Another Miracle Product? (Not exactly, but it helps!)
DMAE, or dimethylaminoethanol, is a naturally-occuring substance that has been widely used for quite a few years. As a supplement, DMAE is used for joint health, depression, and mental awareness. As a topical skin treatment, some marketers have called it a “facelift in a jar”. Is it a scam?
Let’s be realistic, no topical product (or laser peel, for that matter) is going to give the same results as a surgical facelift. However, DMAE has been shown to tighten skin and reduce sagging. Because DMAE is a common substance, cosmetic companies have tried to dress it up in order to charge more for their product. But, it’s not necessary to pay a lot of money to get the proper concentration.

If you need to, you can apply moisturizer over this, but it seems to refine the skin texture, and I do notice a slight firming effect.
