Vicki’s daughter was enchanted with the selection of spices and jars of interesting-looking ingredients, and commented “Wouldn’t it have been great if we could have shared a meal with this lovely family?” Thus, the idea for the website. Vicki enrolled in a business course at the local college, and came away with some good ideas. As with many businesses, there have been some rough spots, such as the time Vicki issued a press release before the website was fully developed, and she was swamped with inquiries.
